Yes, a speeding ticket can cause you to lose your driving privileges in Texas.  Depending on what is already on your record at the time the ticket is issued and becomes a conviction, The Department of Public Safety in Texas can initiate a suspension action against your driving privileges if you are considered a habitual violator of the rules of the road.  This is normally caused when a person has multiple speeding tickets on their record in a short period of time.

  1. Got a speeding ticket going 52 in a 30 coming off the highway. on 2nd AVE, DIXON Ave, GARDEN LN.
    I would like to keep this off my record.
    I haven’t gotten a ticket since 2020.
