In Texas, you must file the request for an occupational driver license in the appropriate court that has jurisdiction to hear your request. Unless your license was suspended due to an alcohol related offense, these requests are normally filed in the Justice of the Peace Court in the county where you live. The request must include why your license was suspended, why you need the license and supporting documentation must show that you have the proper insurance to pay for an accident if you are at fault.
