The answer is no.  The reason for this is due to circumstances that are beyond the control of the lawyer.  For example, if you have been charged with a high-speed case like a 100 mile per hour in a 60 mile per hour zone, then this can make a defense lawyer’s job exponentially harder based on the risk that a citizen could have been seriously injured as a result of that type of offense.  Every case is unique in it’s set of facts and circumstances.  However, in almost every case you are better off seeking the assistance of an attorney.
