Can a driver license be suspended due to drug related offenses?

Yes. If you are convicted of a drug related offense you license will be suspended for 180 days. You will also be required to complete a 15-hour drug education class and submit the certificate to DPS before the suspension action will be lifted. A $100.00 reinstatement fee must also be paid and SR-22 insurance must be submitted to DPS to remove the suspension action.
