Tickets can end up in one of the many Justice of the Peace Courts that are housed within the Dallas County limits. Just in case you’re wondering, there are 12 possible courts, no including Dallas Municipal, that your citation could originate from.

Citations out of a Justice of the Peace Court generally begin with the letter combination of JT and usually end in the letter L in JP 4-2. More often than not we move cases from this court to the county court for Dallas as it allows is better results in a single location.
