Texas has been part of the Driver Responsibility Program since 2003. This program monitors the driving habits of Texas residents in an attempt to punish drivers considered to “high risk.” However, the program hasn’t always worked the way as planned. In many instances, due to community service and time served laws for traffic tickets, many low income families have been hit the hardest by the program. This article is intended to help those that already are subject to surcharges due to traffic ticket convictions. It is our sincere hope that this helps you reduce or avoid surcharges for traffic ticket convictions in Texas. If you have outstanding traffic tickets that you would like a traffic ticket attorney to defend so that they do not end up in the surcharge program, feel free to call our office at 214-321-4105.

Keeping A Clean Driving Record In Texas To Avoid Surcharges
The cold hard facts are that surcharges are expensive and can drain your bank account. Another fact is that hiring a lawyer to defend your traffic tickets will cost you less money than a single surcharge from The State of Texas. This does not mean that your cases will magically disappear or that you should demand your lawyer get all your cases dismissed for the fee charged. What it does mean is that you have an advocate on your side making sure that if the case is not dismissed, it does not become part of the surcharge program. Take the time to contact a lawyer today to discuss your traffic tickets at 214-321-4105.
