Have you received a traffic ticket in The City of Irving and want to know if it can get dismissed with proof? There are few tickets that can get dismissal with a dismissal fee, by just showing proof to the court.
No Child Restraint Ticket– You can take a picture of the car seat in your car and take the pictures to the court. If the pictures are approved and dismissed, the court may require a dismissal fee to close the case out.
Operate Vehicle without two license plates (no front license plate) ticket– You can take a picture of the front and back of your vehicle with the both license plates attached. If the pictures are sufficient and approved, the court will dismiss your case with a possible dismissal fee.
Fail to display driver’s license ticket– If you can provide a Texas driver’s license that was current on the date and time of the offense, the court may dismiss your case.
Fail to report change of address on drivers license ticket– If you can provide a copy of your driver’s license showing you have updated the correct address, the court may dismiss your case.
No insurance ticket– If you can provide a copy of your insurance that was current on the date and time of the offense, the court will dismiss your case once they have verified it was valid.
These are a few cases that can simply get dismissed by showing proof to the court. Although the judge can dismiss any citation when prescribed by law, a hearing must be set for the judge and prosecutor to review your case. The Irving Municipal Court will only allow you to show proof of any compliance for a dismissal before your 21 days is up. After the 21 days to appear in court is up, you will have to set up a court date in order to show proof for a dismissal.
If you have past the 21 days to appear in court and show proof, contact The Beltz Law Firm. Our office will process our paperwork to the court, so that a court date will be set up for your case. At the hearing, if you have provided the compliance needed to dismiss your case, the attorney will show that proof to the court for a dismissal, if approved by the judge. If you do not have the compliance needed, the attorney will go in and try for deferred adjudication with a deferred fee to protect your driving record.
