- DEFERRED ADJUDICATION – Term used to refer to an agreement struck between a defendant and the court wherein the traffic ticket is kept off a person’s record if certain conditions are met. Normally the conditions include a deferred fee be paid to the court along with a promise that no other traffic violations will be recieved during the deferrral period. A deferral period normally ranges from 90 days to 180 days.
